Nordic collective management organisations suspend their payment to Russia

The Nordic collective management organisations (Teosto in Finland, Koda in Denmark, TONO in Norway who are partners in Polaris and STEF in Iceland) are deeply shocked by the Russian Federation’s ongoing war of aggression against the state of Ukraine. Therefore, the organisations have sent a joint letter to the Russian collective management organisation RAO informing them that they will suspend the distribution of royalties to RAO.

Teosto, Koda, TONO and STEF represent over 130,000 creators of music in Nordic countries. The suspension is valid until the attack on Ukraine has ended and the international sanctions on the financial institutions have been lifted.
The Nordic collective management organisations strongly condemn the brutal assault by Russia on freedom and human rights in Ukraine and stand alongside their colleagues and partners in Ukraine who are suffering from the war instigated by the Russian Government.

For our 30,000 customers who use music (radio and TV companies, event promoters, restaurants, and other companies and communities) we provide a wide repertoire of famous and moving musical works that create additional value for their operations. We know the needs of music makers and users and build a bridge between them.
