Loui Törnqvist appointed chair of Koda’s board

At the constitutive meeting of Koda’s board of directors after the general meeting, Loui Törnqvist, director of the music publisher Edition Wilhelm Hansen, was appointed Koda’s chair of the board for the next two years. She will thus continue in the role she took over when the previous chair, Anna Lidell, took maternity leave in 2022.

‘The past six months as acting chair have been exciting and a great privilege for me. I am therefore very grateful that board representatives of authors and publishers alike have pointed to me as the head of our joint member organisation. I thank the board for their trust, and I will approach the task with all due humility, aiming to realise our ambitious business strategy in cooperation with Koda's CEO and administration. In addition to outlining the contours of tomorrow’s Koda, the strategy strives to ensure continued growth and contribute to an even stronger music scene for the benefit of current and future members,’ says Loui Törnqvist.

In addition to the election of Loui Törnqvist, the meeting saw Anna Lidell and Tobias Stenkjær elected as first and second deputy chairs of Koda's board, respectively. Anna Lidell will return from maternity leave on 30 May, and until then Lasse Matthiessen – as acting chair of Autor – will continue on Koda’s board of directors, while board member Emil de Waal will act as second deputy chair of Koda.
