Commercials

Koda makes distributions for music used in commercials broadcast on the following channels:

• TV3 +
• Eurosport1
• Eurosport2
• Cartoon Network
• Boomerang (up to and including 2020)
• Nickelodeon 
• Disney channel 
• Disney Jr 
• National Geographic channel

These channels are uplinked from abroad, meaning that in principle they fall under the auspices of collective rights management societies in those countries. However, because the channels show commercials specifically targeted at the Danish market, Koda has entered into an agreement with the societies in the relevant countries stating that Koda is responsible for processing and distributing royalties for the commercials broadcast on these channels. In doing so, Koda also sees possibilities for a more accurate distribution due to synergy effects from Koda’s processing of commercials on other Danish TV channels.

Jingles, theme tunes, etc.

• Reductions are applied to music used in commercials. The value is set at 50 per cent of the relevant TV channel’s usual per-minute value.
