Concerts and other music events
Distributions for concerts and other music events in church are made in accordance with a fixed per-minute value. This per-minute value is determined by establishing an average in relation to Koda’s total annual income from churches.
No distributions are made for main Sunday services
At present, Koda has no agreement with the Danish Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs concerning the use of music. For this reason, Koda cannot collect revenues and, hence, cannot make distributions to rightsholders regarding music used at the main Sunday services (i.e. services involving a sermon, communion etc.; these are known in Danish as ‘højmesse’).
