Some of Koda's services are associated with extra work for which the member must pay. For some of these services, set fees are charged. Details on these services can be found in Koda’s articles of association. For other types of individual services, the member must cover the administrative expenses incurred by Koda.
Fees
Koda charges fees in the following situations:
- when you sign up as a member
- if you lodge a complaint/appeal to Koda’s appeal board, and
- if you withdraw a rights category so that Koda no longer manages those rights.
Administration costs
The administration costs incurred in connection with servicing Koda members are usually covered collectively, meaning that they are covered by all of Koda’s members. However, when a member wants a special, individual service which is associated with extra administrative work, said member must bear the costs of the case processing themselves.
This stipulation currently applies to the following services:
- Transferring remuneration to parties other than members of Koda, for example to a manager, booker or lawyer. Koda will require its administrative costs to be covered for each registered transfer of this type. The amount currently charged is DKK 500.
- Registration of multi-login for parties others than members of Koda, for example managers or similar professionals who, via the multi-login feature, get direct access to the represented Koda member’s ‘My Koda’. In such cases, Koda needs to have its administration costs covered. The amount currently charged is DKK 500.
- Registration of authors’ secret pseudonyms. Registration of an author’s first pseudonym is free. If you wish to register subsequent pseudonyms, Koda needs to have the administration costs associated with this service covered. The amount currently charged is DKK 500 per registration.
- Costs for external and/or special case processing. Examples include costs charged by Koda for obtaining information for processing inheritance cases, such as inheritance and legality investigations at embassies and consulates abroad. The amount charged will depend on the expenses incurred.
- Setting up a split membership. Koda incurs administration costs when managing split memberships, and these must be covered. The amount currently charged is DKK 650.
- Registering an unusually high number of works annually. If an author member wishes to register an unusually large number of works, giving rise to a presumption that the high productivity may be due to the use of AI, for example, Koda reserves the right to charge an administration fee.
Koda may decide to levy charges to cover other special administration costs as and when the need arises.
