February distribution 2022

Koda’s February 2022 distribution took place on Thursday 17 February. For a full overview of the areas and performance periods included, see the distribution schedule

Monthly distributions for TV and Radio

The February distribution covers all TV and Radio areas where distributions are made monthly. It primarily concerns performances in November 2021, but in several areas you will find that performances from December have also already been reported, processed and are ready for distribution. Furthermore, the February distribution includes monthly distributions for music used in commercials on channels such as TV3+, TV3 Puls, National Geographic and Eurosport 1.

Extra distribution for DR channels covering 2019

This distribution includes an extra distribution for the use of music on DR’s TV and radio channels during 2019. The distribution is made as the result of a ruling made by the Copyright License Tribunal (Ophavsretslicensnævnet) meaning that Koda has received payment for past music use on DR’s flow channels. The payment is made on the basis of previously processed reporting from DR’s TV and radio channels during 2019.

Concerts

As regards concerts, the February distribution covers all concerts where the music reporting has been processed and completed and where Koda has received all necessary information from the concert promoter (for example about ticket revenues per concert).

Abroad

Koda regularly pays out revenues received from sister societies for the use of Koda members’ music abroad. Koda’s distribution rates reflect the individual societies’ distribution frequency and speed in their various distribution areas.

Prior to this distribution, Koda has received new quarterly settlements from affiliated societies in Sweden (STIM), Finland (TEOSTO), the United Kingdom (PRS) and the United States (ASCAP), and a major part of the distributions within Abroad comes from these territories. The settlements received cover performances up until and including first half of 2021, primarily within the areas TV, Radio and Online.
